The Ghana Armwrestling Federation is set to engage all stakeholders involved in the sport on Thursday, May 26, 2020.
A communique from the GAF secretariat indicates the President of the federation, Mr. Charles Osei Asibey, his executives, armwrestlers and other partners will discuss the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the sport and other related issues.
The communique suggests the meeting will be a virtual meeting with selected media men present to monitor and offer suggestions
Armwrestling is one of many sporting disciplines that fell to the coronavirus pandemic and their quest to relate and communicate with the members of the armwrestling family in this crucial time of COVID-19 pandemic, the Ghana Armwrestling Federation (GAF) will give opportunities to athletes and coaches to share their experiences during these moments.
The meeting which is scheduled on Thursday, May 28, 2020 via Zoom is also to ponder on the Armwrestling League and other major events which were lined up by the federation before COVID-19 pandemic.
The biggest section that has been affected by the COVID-19 global pandemic is Sports, the present moments have had its worse turn with a lot of athletes rendered redundant without sporting activities.
Ghana was billed to host the 2020 Africa Armwrestling Championship which has now been suspended indefinitely.
